My "Ah Ha Moment" for Joy of Romance, Inc.

What gave me the “ah ha” moment to start the Joy of Romance, Inc.?

My marriage wasn’t going quite as smoothly as I would have liked and although I thought it was just one of those passing dips in the life cycle of a relationship, it wound up becoming a serious downward spiral that ended in divorce. It was during the first big rocky patch when I realized our society doesn’t provide many, if any, good role models for thriving, passionate and long-lasting relationships. Plus, most of us come from broken families so there is a definite lack of real life examples of passionate, thriving relationships for us to emulate.

Long before and ever since my undergraduate minor in Psychology, I have been curious about patterns of human behavior, in particular in relationship to members of the opposite sex. In addition, I have always loved love. In combination with being a serial entrepreneur, I put it all together and was thrilled to find a way to blend my passion and enthusiasm into one outlet called Joy of Romance, Inc. With this endeavor, I knew I would enjoy the creativity, intellectual challenge and the ability to enrich the world’s love quota.

I was inspired to create a one-stop-shop for everything romantic online in conjunction with a competent team of like-minded individuals with a passion for helping individuals learn more about creating and sustaining loving relationships. I am convinced Joy of Romance, Inc. will become a primary resource for guiding people through the natural ebb and flow that comes when you are in a committed relationship. In addition, it is my desire to keep it intelligent, playful and unique –definitely not syrupy.
